So, I've been arm-wrestling the internet again. Not trolls, thankfully, just code. See, when I was a kid, I taught myself to make web pages writing HTML from scratch. Nothing complicated…

It's been a busy spring! As you may know, my neighbor's building burned to the ground in late March. I prefer a less destructive form of spring cleaning, but nobody asked me. Luckily the contents of my studio were unscathed, but the apartment did sustain some damage so we're displaced until that can be finished. Despite all this, opportunities keep coming my way, and I'm feeling really positive about my art.
I just returned from a mini-residency on the west coast, spending a few days in the Trillium Project's no-internet, no-cell phone, window-full Shotpouch Cabin in the coastal mountain forest outside Corvallis, OR. For a sneak peek of some lush nature…

Not gonna lie, it was kind of a rough start. I decided to ship all of my art supplies once I found out how reasonable the prices were to FedEx a couple boxes -- and they'd be there within two days! Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'll be in the little town of Johnson, Vermont - drawing, painting, and writing to my heart's content. I'm looking forward to (and a little overwhelmed by) the opportunity to step out of the daily grind and focus all of my energy on creating new work.
The notification of my acceptance could hardly come at a better time…

When I was a kid, all but 3 of my teeth had to be pulled.
(Those other 3 I pulled out myself, wiggling them because they were "loose" until they actually were loose. One I yanked out at summer camp, out of mild boredom. Every one else was swimming.)
They weren't falling out naturally. A few adult teeth were coming in, but in a very helter-skelter way, all over the place. So I'd have to go in, get shot up with novocaine, and get a handful of teeth pulled at a time. From this…
